Well after reading that the stripers are finally moving again the lovely wife and I headed out for a sunset cruise. Of course I had to make a few casts and a couple more tries with the fly rod, unsuccessfully I might add. Just as we passed the no wake zone heading in to port, we saw a big school bustin up some shad on the top, with Capt. Michelle at the helm I ran to bow and on the 1st cast nabbed this striper. While I fumbled to release him (and snap a pic of course) Michelle went to the bow and threw at the school and immediately her dragged was screaming, this was her 1st stripe and she apparently didnt know what to expect as it almost pulled her in, tho I believe she mighta let go at some point.

Nice one Kace....where is the pic of Michelle's? Mandy would be screaming at me, lol.
When did you spring for a fly rod?

Well Michelle wasn't too excited about holding hers. The fly rod was an excuse to make 'fishing' fun again, however it only takes catching one stripe to do that, damn fly rod, I was tangled mess within 5 mins.
