Well the boat is complete so now I have nothing to do but fish. In fact, CLOSENUFF charters will be leaving daily at 6am & 5pm.

It's one thing to say you are going Striper fishing and it's another to catch them. I managed to coerce my neighbor to kick off his bachelor party by going striper fishing at the crack of dawn, damn well knowing that we'd be lucky enough to catch a cold. The bachelor landed a short Striper while trolling a good 'ole hopkins and he has booked a weekly charter until he moves. The captain also landed a short jigging a hopkins as well. Considering it was CLOSENUFF's maiden charter, it was determined that those were the two most expensive Stripers ever caught.

The next two charters were booked by my brother in-law, who incidentally outfished the captain both trips tallying 14 points by landing a small largemouth (5 points), a nice white perch (3 points) and on his last trip bagged this beautiful largemouth close enough to 5lbs. earning him another 6 points!

Thanks Todd for a worthy picture to start the fishingstories blog. Hey Todd remember your captain next time at Basspro!!
