Capt Dad, Brotha Bri and the capt all give thanks to the striper gods for allowing us all to hear our drags scream and see our rods bend. While 2 of them were landed, we give Brotha Bri a pass for just being Bri.

We froze this am. Didnt warm up to brotha bri wrestled this fine striper to the boat.
Water temp: 51.7 Wind: NW 12-15. Clouds: overcast Air: 33 Moon: 12% of full
Within 15 minutes of setting the lines, Capt Dad lands a striper. We struggled the rest of the morning until the last bite bout 15 min before leaving...
Water temp: 53.9 Wind: NE 3-6 Clouds: clear Air: 34 Moon: 23% of full
Capt Tebo wrestles one into the boat. Good thing or he would have been deemed the hex... Couple small spotted bass as well to keep the early morning skunk at bay.
Water temp: 58.9 Wind: 2-4. Clouds: clear Air: 40 Moon: 42% of full
Trip started off with a bang and never stopped. In total we landed 8 stripers breaking '30 Something' previous mark of 6. In the malay we also recorded a triple header. Mate dad did catch 2 of the 8, apparently he was too busy taking pictures of capt. to catch any more fish. We decided to take one for supper.
Water temp: 58.9 Wind: 14-20 gusts Clouds: clear Air: 48 Moon: 36% of full
Here's a few pics that have been sitting on the camera. The fulltime web developer has been taking a break... But the capt. is still fishing and catching...
Made trip to the north end recently only to yield a few largies (nice size tho). Last week's warm front and rain seemed to slow things down. This am the bait shop had only dead shiners, we still had a half dozen left over so we were hoping all 6 would be real lucky. Turned out only one was lucky...

No exploring today, while it was slow we managed to catch one stripe early and one right before we left while bringing up the lines. That latter was fumbled away by capt. Dad.
Water temp: 68.5 Wind: 3-4 W Clouds: some Air: 59 Moon: 65% of full
Since the water temp dropped below 70, we figured venturing away from the hole today might prove successful. This certainly wasn't the 1st time the capt. has been wrong. Ended the trip with a few circles in the hole. Lots of activity on top, ended up with 4 spotted bass and 1 striper.
Water temp: 68.5 Wind: 1 NNE Clouds: overcast Air: 59 Moon: 75% of full
A little vacation kept us off the water the past few days. This am was striper less thus picture less, however, worth noting 7 largemouth bass were landed all 2.5lbs+ and fiesty.
Water temp: 68.5 Wind: 3-4 NNE Clouds: none Air: 55 Moon: 83% of full
A new season begins this year with Capt. Dad. Past couple weeks started working the points and drowning baits catching spots here and there but nothing blog worthy. The only thing that took the bait today was this lonely striper. A pleasant site to see this early in the season. Let's hope for some more cold fronts to get the water temp down...

One more time with Brotha's Grim. This time Bri woke us up looking for redemption on the one that got away. Alas his 1st striper caught early and right next to the boat, good thing as it didn't give him much time to lose it. Jeff finds one more before he leaves.
Brotha Bri missed his chance today, Brotha Jeff lands two stipers on rainbow trout plug and the capt. bags one on the live line. Lots of largies sitting on beds, Jeff entices this one and almost breaks an ankle trying to land em.
Well 1st charter with BrothAs had some excitement, but they couldn't seem to land any 5 point stripers, even tho the capt. found them. A couple largie's and contrary to popular believe, a white perch which is NOT a white bass nor a hybrid bass.
Here's a new crew member on his 1st charter, Evie-bug catches his 1st largemouth.
OK folks, here's some older pics prob sometime in Feb.

Only a few charters lately, boat was in the yard to attach the shiny new bow mount trolling motor from Minn Kota, deeply discounted from of Papa Pedro. 1st trip with it brought in a skunk or was that Mr. HeHately's banana. Anyhow 2nd trip had the capt. out on a solo charter in search of new locations. Didnt have time to find new locations, too busy catching fish. Too bad you can't see the capt. sh#teatin grin and who says there's no fish Southside???

A week of vacation with no fishing?? After a cancelled charter due to high winds (sorry Mr. HeHately), Mr. Dustin's charter prooved successful, landing two and fumbling one striped bass.

The New Year brings in new luck for Mr. HeHatley. A quality striper on his famous Bayou Buggy. Capt. Tebo lands this striper on a flat line. He seems to know how to make his fish appear larger than life...
The Capt. bags one prior to the New Year. This striper ran completely around the boat, much fun indeed.
